Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are always needed for various programs provided by and referred to by HRCAP.

From children’s reading programs to re-entry counseling, food pantry helpers, donation collectors and more, we have a place where you can make a difference.

How You Can Make A Difference!

Volunteer to read to a child

A few hours are all it takes to engage children in learning activities in our community. Our Volunteers Who Read Program helps children succeed academically. When you volunteer with HRCAP, you are supporting the literacy needs of children and families living right here in Hampton Roads.

Volunteer hours are Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 10:30 am and Fridays from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

Community Service and Internships

If you are looking for community services hours or internship opportunities, HRCAP has various needs across several programs where you can make a difference.

If you are looking for a way to get involved and help make your community a better place, reach out to us today!
