Many of our programs could not survive without the generous donations of people like you. Your donation goes directly back into the Hampton Roads community, helping individuals attain self-sufficiency and breaking the destructive cycle of poverty.
The Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP), a program of the Commonwealth of Virginia, encourages partnerships between the private and public sectors to assist the economically disadvantaged. Virginia state income tax credits are provided as incentives for businesses and individuals to contribute to an approved nonprofit organization, such as the Hampton Roads Community Action Program.
An individual, married couple or business that pays Virginia state income tax is eligible. Individuals or married couples can receive a tax credit of 65% of the total contributions with a minimum donation of $500 and a maximum donation of $76,923.08 (or a tax credit cap of $50,000)
